Club Dinner: Sally Martin—Vive la France!
January 27, 2012 at 6:30PM
Monroe House
It may be the darkest winter in Washington, but tonight you’ll be transported to the City of Light as acclaimed chanteuse Sally Martin evokes the Paris of Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel and Josephine Baker.
James R. Fitzpatrick is the musical director.
Sally Martin has won critical praise for her vocal range and interpretive skills in concert, cabaret, musical theatre, and as a recording artist. The Washington Post hailed her first CD as “extraordinary” and called her “wonderfully controlled singing both dreamy and wise.” She also won plaudits from the Post for her portrayal of Marlene Dietrich in the Horizons Theatre production of In Good Company: Sexual Icons.
